Python Software Foundation: Announcing the 2026 PSF Board Election Results!
The 2026 PSF Board election fostered important discussions about the organization's role in supporting the global Python community. The PSF expresses gratitude to all candidates for their willingness to serve and to the community for their passionate engagement and voting participation. Congratulations are extended to the newly elected Board members: Elaine Wong, Laís Carvalho, Ee Durbin, and Georgi Ker, with the returning member also acknowledged. Outgoing Board members Cheuk Ting Ho, Chris Neugebauer, and Denny Perez are thanked for their significant contributions and leadership in shaping the PSF's strategic vision. The election successfully reached quorum with 670 ballots cast, demonstrating strong community involvement. Special thanks are given to those who promoted the election, including Board Member KwonHan Bae, and to the PSF staff and Board members who worked to enhance the election process. Detailed election results are available on the PSF website until November 10, 2026. The PSF Election team will conduct a retrospective to gather feedback and improve future election processes. The organization encourages continued community feedback on the election process via discuss.python.org or email. With at least three Board seats opening again next year, interested individuals are invited to learn more and consider running.
