The PSF Diversity and Inclusion Workgroup is launching monthly virtual office hours on Discord, starting on Tuesday, 28 July 2026. The goal is to provide a space for people working on diversity and inclusion in tech to connect, share their experiences, and ask questions. The office hours will be held on the last Tuesday of every month, alternating between two time slots to accommodate different time zones. The first session will be at 1 PM UTC, and the following session will be at 9 PM UTC, with this pattern continuing. The conversations will be text-based and open to anyone, with no pressure to participate or present oneself in a certain way. The workgroup aims to discuss various topics, including ideas for policies and initiatives to diversify the PSF missions, feedback from the community, and progress on diversity initiatives. The office hours will be held in the #psf-diversity channel on the PSF Discord, and participants are welcome to join in their own language, with threads available in multiple languages. The workgroup encourages people to share their thoughts, ask questions, and connect with others who care about making the Python community more welcoming. The conversations will remain in the channel, allowing participants to catch up later if they cannot attend the live session.
