Quickly add events to Google Calendar with Gemini in Gmail on mobile
Gemini in Gmail now allows users to add events to their calendar directly from emails on both Android and iOS devices. This feature was previously only available on the web. Gemini automatically detects calendar-related content within emails and presents an "Add to calendar" button. Clicking this button opens a panel to confirm the event addition. If an email contains multiple events, Gemini can add all of them to the user's Google Calendar. For administrators, enabling smart features and personalization is necessary for users to access Gemini within Workspace apps. End users should note that this feature currently only supports emails in English. The "Add to calendar" button will not appear for emails with pre-extracted events like flights or restaurants. Events created this way will not automatically include other guests, who must be added separately. This feature is rolling out gradually starting August 13, 2025, and is available for various Google Workspace editions and Gemini add-ons.
