Seamlessly import your emails from any IMAP server to Google Workspace
Google Workspace now offers a simplified, general availability (GA) release for admins to import past emails from any IMAP-based provider during Google Workspace setup. This feature allows seamless migration from services like Hostinger, Zoho, Yahoo!, and iCloud with just a few clicks. It significantly reduces the time and effort needed to switch to Google Workspace, consolidating important emails into one secure location. Admins can initiate the import by connecting to their chosen IMAP server and entering their email address and password. Currently, this new feature allows for the import of only one user's past emails at a time. For multiple account imports, users should consult the Help Center. Domain verification and email activation must be completed before the data import can begin. The import process operates in the background, allowing admins to continue with their Workspace setup concurrently. This functionality is accessible within the Google Workspace setup process after domain verification and email record activation. End-users do not have access to this administrator-only feature. The new import capability is available immediately for both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. All Google Workspace customers can utilize this feature to streamline their data migration.
