Google Workspace now offers a simplified data import tool for small businesses migrating from Microsoft. This new feature allows for the automatic transfer of users, along with their emails, OneDrive files, calendar events, contacts, and tasks, into Google Workspace. The import process involves connecting to your Microsoft business account with global admin credentials and optionally excluding specific users or data. Once connected, the tool identifies and prepares your Microsoft users and their data for transfer to your new Google Workspace account. This streamlines the switch from Microsoft, reducing setup time and effort. Initially, up to ten Microsoft users and their data can be imported automatically, with instructions available for larger imports. Data import can only commence after domain verification and MX record activation. The import process operates in the background, allowing you to continue with your Workspace setup. This feature is exclusively for administrators and is currently available to all Google Workspace customers.
