Google is expanding generative AI features within Google Workspace for Education. These features, powered by Gemini, are becoming available to more educators and students. Users aged 18 and older with Education Plus or the Teaching and Learning add-on licenses now have access. Key features include Gemini in Docs, Slides, Forms, and Vids, enhancing content creation and presentation. These features were previously accessible to users in other Google Workspace plans. The company plans to release Gemini in Sheets features to those plans soon. Administrators will gain granular control over Gemini features within individual apps. These features are often enabled by default, but admins can control access. The rollout begins in February with different timelines for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. Resources are accessible via Google Help and Google Workspace Admin Help.
