Google Workspace users on the web can now share snapshots of their Gemini chats, canvases, and generated media within the Gemini app. Sharing utilizes the familiar Google Drive interface, mirroring the experience with Docs and other files. This allows users to share conversations via a link for broader access. This new capability promotes collaboration by enabling team members to build upon each other's work. It aims to scale AI proficiency and foster new learning methods for educators and students. Admins can control this feature through a dedicated admin console setting. Sharing follows existing Drive policies, controlling external accessibility. End users can share Gemini content if enabled by their admin, using the standard Drive menu. The feature's rollout begins on May 28, 2026, for admins and June 3, 2026, for end users. This new sharing functionality is available to all Google Workspace customers.
