Simplify complex eventing at Scale with Eventarc Advanced
Modern application development demands both scalability and simplified, centralized governance. This requires a unified messaging platform that can intelligently manage the flow of information in real-time. Google Cloud announces the general availability of Eventarc Advanced, a serverless eventing platform designed for complex, multi-source event-driven architectures. Eventarc Advanced evolves from Eventarc Standard, offering out-of-the-box integration patterns to simplify eventing needs. It allows organizations to integrate existing services, centrally manage security and observability, and intelligently route messages based on flexible criteria. The platform can also transform events in real-time, supporting multiple payload formats and attribute transformations. Key technical features include a Publish API for custom messages and a message bus acting as the central nervous system, powered by Envoy and Cloud Load Balancers. This message bus simplifies event management, reduces operational overhead, and provides centralized monitoring, logging, and tracing. Eventarc Advanced offers developers simplicity by allowing them to focus on application features, while providing platform operators with centralized governance and easier issue resolution. It works by setting up a message bus, connecting event sources, and configuring pipelines for filtering, transformation, and routing of events. Eventarc Advanced unlocks new possibilities for large-scale application integration, event streaming for analytics, and hybrid/multi-cloud deployments.
