SpaceX completes the 11th test flight of its Starship, the biggest rocket ever made
SpaceX's Starship, the largest rocket ever, completed another test flight, marking significant progress. The rocket launched from Texas, separating its booster for a controlled Gulf of Mexico reentry. The spacecraft then skimmed space, before splashing down in the Indian Ocean, as planned. This was Starship's eleventh test flight, crucial for Elon Musk's Mars ambitions and NASA's lunar goals. This flight, lasting over an hour, aimed to test maneuvers for future landings at the launch site. The rocket carried mock satellites and NASA's acting administrator praised the progress toward lunar missions. Elon Musk watched the launch from outside, highlighting the significance of the moment. Both the booster and spacecraft were not recovered, focusing on successful flight and reentry. SpaceX is modifying its launch sites, including Cape Canaveral, to accommodate Starship alongside its Falcon rockets. This launch contributes to NASA's plans to transport astronauts to the moon by the end of the decade.
