State Farm is sending customers a share of $5 billion. Are you getting a check?

State Farm, a private mutual insurance company, is issuing a one-time dividend of $5 billion to its auto insurance customers. This payout is made possible by the company's financial strength and strong underwriting performance. As a mutual company, State Farm is customer-owned, allowing profits to be returned to policyholders. The dividend is being distributed to eligible customers who held private passenger auto policies between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. Individual payment amounts will vary based on the premiums paid for qualifying policies. The average dividend is expected to be around $100 per vehicle. Customers with assigned risk program policies are not eligible for this dividend. Eligible policyholders will be contacted via email with a link to a digital payment portal or by mail with a physical check. State Farm is distributing these payments in waves, and payouts have already begun.
