Stealth Edit: FBI Quietly Revises Violent Crime Stats Higher

The Biden-Harris administration has been accused of lying about economic and crime statistics, with the FBI revising its 2022 crime data to show a 4.5% increase in violent crime instead of the initial reported 2.1% drop. The revised data reveals significant increases in property crime and larceny/theft, with violent crime rising by 4.5% in 2022. The Bureau of Justice Statistics' 2023 National Crime Victimization Survey found a 4.1% increase in violent crime in 2023, contradicting the FBI's data. The NCVS also reported a 55.4% increase in total violent crime during the Biden-Harris administration, with rape, robbery, and aggravated assault rising by 42%, 63%, and 55%, respectively. The largest previous increase over three years was 27% in 2006, making the increase under Biden slightly more than double that. Comparing 2023 rates with 2019 pre-COVID violent crime rates, the NCVS shows a 19% increase, while the FBI's new 2023 data shows virtually no improvement, with a 0.2% drop. The media has not corrected its earlier reports that crime was falling, and the FBI has not explained the large changes in its data.
