Surveillance Company Tells Cops It Wants to Add Facial Recognition to Flock Cameras

Flock's CEO stated the company will not integrate facial recognition into its devices. However, third-party companies are offering this capability for data collected by Flock cameras. VIDIZMO is one such company that advertises exporting FlockOS footage to its platforms for facial recognition. These platforms can also perform behavior prediction and demographic analysis. VIDIZMO, a long-standing video analysis company, recently began offering facial recognition to law enforcement. A VIDIZMO salesperson indicated their product could analyze both Flock and Axon camera data within a unified system. VIDIZMO's CEO confirmed they haven't yet processed Flock camera footage with their facial recognition technology. While the specific integration tool isn't built, the company openly expresses interest in developing it. The company believes facial recognition is an inevitable technological progression for society. VIDIZMO's website claims its technology can identify individuals across seven racial categories. Additionally, it offers demographic analysis for marketing purposes based on race and age.
