These Are The World's Biggest Beer Brewers

The world's beer production is dominated by a small number of large companies according to the BarthHaas Report 2024/25. These top 40 brewers account for 86.3% of global production, totaling 42.7 billion U.S. gallons in 2024. AB InBev leads significantly, producing 13.1 billion gallons, which is 26.4% of the world's beer output. This volume surpasses the combined production of Heineken, China Resources Snow Breweries, and Carlsberg. Heineken, the second-largest brewer, produced 6.4 billion gallons, approximately half of AB InBev's output. European brewers are most represented in the top 40, with 21 companies contributing nearly 60% of global production. Germany has the most brewers on the list, but they are primarily regional, unlike expanded European counterparts. Asia follows with 11 brewers, collectively producing 10.3 billion gallons, with China Resources Snow Breweries being the highest ranked. Despite being a major beer consumer, the United States has only two brewers on the list, Molson Coors and Constellation Brands. China itself is the world's largest beer-producing country, with four brewers in the top 40, including China Resources Snow Breweries at third place. Many of these prominent brewers are associated with well-known flagship brands such as Budweiser, Heineken, and Snow.
