This gorgeous game of Monopoly tells the story of Keith Haring’s life

Monopoly has produced over 1,500 spin-offs covering diverse interests, including a new Keith Haring edition. This version celebrates Haring's life and art, designed by WS Game Co. for the 40th anniversary of his Pop Shop. Monopoly's adaptable format makes it an ideal canvas for such themed adaptations. Haring's art is ubiquitous in pop culture, appearing on various products since his death. He intentionally sought ubiquity, using public art to spread messages of equality and acceptance. The Pop Shop, opened in 1986, sold art at low prices, a move criticized then but now seen as ahead of its time. The game features properties representing significant locations from Haring's life, from his hometown to NYC landmarks. His art is integrated throughout, with tokens like Radiant Baby and Barking Dog. Houses are dancing figures, and hotels are boom boxes. Chance and Community Chest cards are replaced with "Heart" and "Pop Shop" cards. The game board's railroad spaces feature Haring's subway drawings. The game box itself is a piece of art, showcasing a heart-shaped design of dancing figures.
