This simple tool fixes Google Calendar’s most frustrating flaw
The author criticizes much current AI as solutions searching for problems, unlike technology crafted to solve specific real-world issues. The featured tool, Agenda Hero, exemplifies this with a new feature for sharing custom collections of dates. Previously, Agenda Hero could extract event information from various sources into a calendar. Now, users can create and share specific sets of events without granting access to their entire personal calendar. To create a shareable calendar, users sign into Agenda Hero and select "Make a new calendar." They can then input event details manually or by uploading documents, images, or screenshots. The platform automatically formats the extracted information into a calendar view. Users can customize the calendar's appearance and even import data from external calendars. The "Share" button allows for easy distribution of this singular calendar view. The free plan permits sharing with up to two people, while the paid Plus plan extends this to 250 users and offers public links. Agenda Hero simplifies sharing plans like travel details or team schedules, proving its value by making life easier. It is primarily web-based, requiring no downloads, though optional apps exist for convenience. A free version is available, with a paid upgrade offering enhanced features. The service emphasizes user privacy, stating calendar data is not used for AI training or sold.
