Trump Sidesteps 2028 GOP Endorsement On Vance, Rubio

In a recent interview, Donald Trump declined to endorse a specific candidate for the 2028 Republican presidential primary. Previously, he had hinted at Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as potential contenders. Trump praised both Vance and Rubio, highlighting their intelligence and capabilities. He suggested a combination of the two would be a formidable ticket. Trump mentioned he might endorse a candidate but hasn't yet considered it. Rubio served in the Senate and took on multiple roles in the Trump administration, including Secretary of State, USAID head, and National Security Advisor. Vance has been active domestically and internationally, notably supporting Trump’s military actions in Venezuela. Both Vance and Rubio were former senators before joining Trump's team. Vance expressed a focus on his current role, while Rubio supported Vance without dismissing his own potential candidacy. Turning Point USA has endorsed Vance for 2028. A recent poll showed Vance with a significant lead among Republican voters, with Rubio trailing. Donald Trump Jr. also polled well in the same poll.
