Tucker Carlson Unveils Major Political Plan
Tucker Carlson has indicated he will help establish a third political party, though he denies any interest in running for office himself. He expressed his intention in an interview with the Columbia Journalism Review. Carlson's motivation stems from his criticism of bipartisan support for foreign intervention from both major parties. He believes this alignment creates a one-party state disguised as a democracy. Carlson cited Donald Trump's stance on the Israel-Iran war as an example of this issue. He argued that if voters remain in a foreign policy regime-change war despite supporting one candidate, then alternative options are necessary. Carlson feels that a viable third party is crucial to offer voters more choice. He is not alone in this sentiment, as other figures have also voiced support for a third party. Elon Musk previously announced the formation of the America Party. Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and former Sen. Joe Manchin have also expressed support for third-party alternatives. Andrew Yang, a former Democratic presidential candidate, is another supporter.
