Turner Industries’ Blueprint for a Secure, Cloud-First Infrastructure
Turner Industries, an industrial contractor, sought to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. They implemented a new technology stack comprising ChromeOS, Google Workspace, Chrome Enterprise Premium, and Cameyo. This integration aimed to provide a secure and efficient foundation for their operations. The adoption of Chromebooks resulted in a 40-50% cost reduction per device and doubled device longevity. This led to significant savings, amounting to $700,000 across 1,200 devices. Furthermore, device configuration and deployment time was drastically reduced, saving an estimated 1,750 hours annually. Google Workspace and Chrome Enterprise Premium were adopted for all 21,000 employees. ChromeOS also streamlined IT support by minimizing time spent on patching and security tickets. Chrome Enterprise Premium enabled centralized endpoint management and security policy enforcement. Cameyo provided a solution for accessing legacy Windows applications, simplifying their VDI architecture. The new system is now used across all departments, including leadership, demonstrating its versatility. This technological transformation has led to a simpler, more secure, and efficient infrastructure for Turner Industries.
