Updated options to better view Google Calendar on large monitors
Google Calendar is introducing updated information density options to give users more control over their viewing experience. These changes allow customization of how calendar events scale to fit different monitor sizes and user preferences. Users can now choose from three density settings: Responsive, Comfortable, and Compact. The "Responsive" option dynamically scales events to fill larger screens, enhancing readability. "Comfortable" maintains the standard layout with traditional spacing across all screen sizes. The "Compact" setting offers a denser view with tighter spacing, enabling users to see more events simultaneously. These settings are managed by end users within the Appearance settings menu in Calendar on the web. There are no administrative controls for this feature. The rollout will begin for Rapid Release domains on July 29, 2026, and for Scheduled Release domains on August 10, 2026. This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users.
