Use Gemini in Google Classroom to generate questions or a quiz based on specific text
Google has introduced a new feature in Google Classroom that allows educators to generate text-dependent questions with the help of Gemini. This feature is designed to help educators save time and create engaging learning experiences for their students. Educators can select a Google Drive file or manually input text and choose the skills they want students to demonstrate. The tool then generates questions to assess students' comprehension and critical reasoning skills, which can be exported to a Google Form or Google Doc. This feature can be useful in various scenarios, such as creating exit tickets or quizzes to check students' understanding. To access this feature, educators need to have a Gemini Education license assigned to them by their admin. Admins can learn more about pricing and discounts for the Gemini Education add-ons by contacting their Google Workspace for Education reseller or a Google for Education sales specialist. The feature is available now for Google Workspace for Education customers with Gemini Education and Gemini Education Premium add-ons. Educators can navigate to the Gemini Education tab in Google Classroom to use the text-dependent question generation tool and visit the Help Center to learn more about its features. The rollout of this feature is available for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains, and users can take a course to learn more about generative AI for educators.
