Use Nano Banana to edit images in Google Slides and Vids

Google Slides and Vids are being upgraded with the Nano Banana image editing model for improved quality. A new feature allows users to edit images using custom prompts, enabling creative modifications like placing objects in specific settings. This enhancement is designed to make it simpler for users to realize their creative visions. The feature will be enabled by default for eligible users aged 18 and older, with its availability starting on September 25, 2025. Admins do not need to take any action for this rollout. End users can access the feature by selecting an image, choosing "Edit image," and entering a prompt. The generated output can be previewed and then inserted or used to replace the existing image. This new functionality will be available across various Google Workspace editions, including Business and Enterprise tiers. Specific educational and nonprofit plans also gain access. Some previous add-ons are no longer available for purchase. Limited-time access to generative AI features in Vids is provided for certain starter and nonprofit accounts. Resources are available in the Google Help Center for further guidance.
