Use stock charts in Sheets to better visualize price movements

Google Sheets has introduced new stock chart types to better visualize price movements. These charts consolidate multiple price points into a single marker for each time period. This allows users to quickly see a security's complete trading range. Two new chart types are available: High-Low-Close (HLC) and Open-High-Low-Close (OHLC). The HLC chart displays the highest, lowest, and closing prices for a period. The OHLC chart additionally includes the opening price, indicating the period's direction. These charts are designed to align with financial analysts' existing workflows in Sheets. A significant improvement is enhanced compatibility with Microsoft Excel import. Previously, Excel stock charts were lost upon import into Sheets. Now, HLC and OHLC stock charts are accurately preserved when transferring files between the two applications. This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers and personal Google account users.
