Use the Gemini in Chrome AI browsing assistant, now generally available

Gemini in Chrome, an AI browsing assistant, is now available for Google Workspace users who have access to the Gemini app. This feature helps users on Mac, Windows, and iOS by leveraging context from up to 10 browser tabs and the Google Workspace app. Users can choose to share their current tab and up to ten additional tabs for Gemini to reference. Enterprise-grade data protections are in place, and content is not used for model training outside the domain without permission. Gemini in Chrome will be blocked for customers who have signed the HIPAA Business Associate Amendment. Initially, it is available in English for users aged 18+ in the US on Mac, Windows, and iOS. Administrators can manage access at the domain, OU, or group level, with the feature turned on by default unless previously disabled. Usage reporting will be integrated into existing admin tools. Various Google Workspace editions and add-ons qualify for access. The rollout begins on October 2, 2025, for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains.
