Google Meet is enhancing its web homepage by displaying conference room and physical meeting locations directly on upcoming meeting cards. This update aims to streamline workflows for in-office users by showing them where to go for their meetings. A key capability is intelligent room prioritization, which highlights the conference room in the user's building for cross-functional meetings. The system compares room metadata with the user's working location set in Google Calendar. Wayfinding links are provided when a conference room is clicked, aiding navigation to unfamiliar rooms. For offsite meetings with street addresses, clicking the location opens Google Maps for directions. Room and location details are prominently visible for meetings happening now or starting soon, and appear on hover for later meetings. Administrators do not need to configure any specific controls for this feature. Conference room details are automatically populated from the Google Workspace Admin console. End users also have no specific settings to manage for this enhancement. The feature will be available to all Google Workspace customers and Workspace Individual subscribers.
