Google Calendar on the web now displays a new icon for leaders with calendar delegates. This icon appears next to the leader's name in the guest list when viewing event details, creation forms, and scheduling views. Hovering over the icon reveals information about the scheduling delegate. This feature facilitates quick identification and direct communication with the delegate. Users can easily initiate a chat with the delegate from this pop-up information. The update aims to streamline communication and event coordination. There are no admin or end-user controls for this enhancement. It is visible to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users. The rollout began on July 23, 2026, for rapid release domains and August 3, 2026, for scheduled release domains.
