Google Meet is introducing visual screenshots for its 'Take notes for me' feature, which will capture presented content like slides and diagrams. This addition aims to preserve crucial visual context alongside spoken summaries and transcripts in meeting notes. Administrators have the ability to control whether this screenshot functionality is enabled for their users. They can choose to always allow screenshots or permit them only when a meeting is being recorded. Presenters will receive an on-screen notification when presenting in a meeting where this feature is active. End users also have in-meeting controls to manage or disable screenshot capture directly from the notes panel. These visual screenshots are protected by Google Workspace's enterprise-grade data security measures. Admin console settings are available immediately for configuration. The end-user feature rollout will occur gradually over approximately fifteen days starting in Q3 2026. This feature will be available for various Business, Enterprise, and Education editions.
