As the year 2026 begins, many are making resolutions focused on health, including reducing alcohol consumption. Dry January, a campaign started in 2013 by Alcohol Change UK, encourages a month-long break from alcohol. This challenge sees hundreds of thousands officially sign up, with millions participating globally. Despite the growing trend of abstaining from alcohol, non-alcoholic alternatives are not meeting the same popularity. A survey by Statista revealed that non-alcoholic wine is not frequently consumed in most countries. Only India, Thailand, China, and Vietnam had ten percent or more respondents regularly drinking non-alcoholic wine. Non-alcoholic beer, however, showed greater appeal across various nations. Poland and Spain reported nearly one in five people regularly consuming non-alcoholic beer. Germany, Brazil, and India also showed significant, albeit lower, percentages of regular non-alcoholic beer drinkers.
