WalletHub's analyst, Chip Lupo, emphasized that minimizing taxes and expenses is crucial for retirees on fixed incomes. Florida cities, including Orlando, benefit from no estate, inheritance, or income taxes, contributing to their high rankings. Top retirement cities offer quality healthcare and abundant enjoyable activities for seniors. Orlando, for instance, is recognized for its recreational opportunities. Cities in the top 10 generally excel in at least one of the four key factors WalletHub considers. Casper's rising popularity is attributed to its high affordability and Wyoming's low tax rates. Notably, states with high taxes did not have cities in the top 50 for retirees.
