Wing Python IDE has released version 12.0.3, introducing significant enhancements. This update includes support for Python 3.15 and improved source code analysis for modern type hints. Auto-completion in large Python environments has been substantially sped up, even with auto-imports enabled. Wing 12 deeply integrates the Claude Code AI coding agent, featuring a new Claude Code tool and a Tasks tool for managing AI workflows. It also provides MCP servers that grant the AI agent access to Wing's powerful debugging, testing, and code analysis features. New AI-driven FIX features can automatically resolve debugger bugs and failing unit tests, while Write Tests prompts the agent to generate unit tests. AI Code Actions allow users to explain, review, fix, and optimize code with AI assistance. The IDE now features a pseudo-terminal for ANSI terminal emulation in its OS Commands and Debug I/O tools. Workspace flexibility is enhanced with tools now placeable in editor splits, and the Tools menu has been reorganized for better usability. Wing 12 simplifies its product line into Wing Pro with AI agent tools and Wing Classic for traditional development, with Wing Personal discontinued.
